Best saunas in Midway

Midway's atlas is a short pair: two curated saunas, both Finnish-style. Small list, tight bar, and either is a defensible first booking. The decision comes down to setting and operator rather than format.

Both listed venues run a cold plunge on site, so the hot–cold–rest cycle is the design of the session rather than an afterthought. Budget a little extra time so you can do the cycle properly.

Both sessions land in the mid-range ($$) band. That makes the decision about operator and setting rather than budget, and either is a defensible spend.

On character, the pair reads differently on paper: both lean outdoor, one sits in nature outside the city, and both trade on mountain setting. The setting shapes the session as much as the heat format does. Weigh the atmosphere alongside the format.

Two places to start: Wasatch Mountain Sauna is a sauna cabin behind the visitor centre in Wasatch Mountain State Park, near Midway; and Soho Saunas, a Japanese-style bathing house at Soldier Hollow in Midway, opened with a partner who ran onsens in Japan. That’s the on-ramp. The full ranking sits above.
