About

Konstanz's municipal thermal bath on the shore of Lake Constance, fed by its own spring. The textile-free sauna floor holds four cabins, a steam bath and a Sanarium, with rest rooms, relax pools and step-free access throughout. A full Aufguss programme runs classic, ice-menthol and music-and-light rounds.

Good to know

  • Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
  • Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
  • Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
  • Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
  • Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
  • Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
  • Urban venue: it sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake. A session fits into a day in town.
