About
Schmerikon's municipal bath runs a 400 square metre sauna and wellness area beside its pool and its Zürichsee shore. Four saunas and a steam room share the space, split between a mixed area and one that alternates between women and men. A private sauna takes up to six people.
Good to know
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
- Women-only sauna: the venue has a women's side or room, or runs set women-only sessions.
- Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
- Nude sauna: some or all sessions are taken without swimwear.
