About

A smoke sauna and an electric sauna on a lake shore in forest about 13 km from central Tampere, in a 1968 building extended in 2006. A group hires the whole place, with an outdoor hot tub, a grill on the veranda and a separate meeting room. Swimming is in the lake in summer and an ice hole in winter.

Good to know

  • Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
  • Electric stove: quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
  • Hot tub on site: adds a warm-water option between the sauna and the cold plunge for a longer cycle.
  • Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
  • Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
  • Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
  • Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
  • Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
