About
A brine thermal bath at Bad Wilsnack with eight saunas: three indoors and five built into Sennhütten, mills and granaries around 300 years old, among them a domed room seating up to 200. Outside lie a 1,800 square metre salt lake at 24 per cent brine with a sand beach, graduation walls and a Hamam. Aufgüsse follow a seasonal programme.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- A historic sauna with heritage worth the trip on its own, whether the building, the tradition, or both.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
