About
A bathhouse in Herne's Gysenbergpark where one ticket covers both the water world and the Saunawelt. The sauna side runs separate women's and men's areas of five cabins each, a mixed area of eight, and a textile section with a Finnish panorama cabin for bathers who prefer swimwear. A 10,000 sqm sauna garden lies outside.
Good to know
- Bar on premises: drinks alongside (or after) the session, and the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Urban venue: it sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake. A session fits into a day in town.
