About
Nomad Sauna is a family-built cabin in a back garden in Trørød, north of Copenhagen. Morten built it from reed panels, Danish douglas fir and cork, and heats it with a wood-burning stove. Saunagus sessions run in the garden, with a cold tub and an outdoor shower between rounds.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Mobile operator: the sauna travels, so the location is part of the booking. Check the current site before you arrive.
