About
Nysted Sauna & Havbad sits on the Nysted shore at the old lime works pier. The association opened its sauna in February 2022, and the bridge beside it is built for step-free access. Visitors who are not members can buy a day ticket from the campsite or the guesthouse nearby.
Good to know
- Electric stove: quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
- Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
- Nude sauna: some or all sessions are taken without swimwear.
- Swimwear sauna: some or all sessions are taken in swimwear, so pack it.
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
