About
Onsen is a Japanese-inspired bathhouse on Eddy Street, built around a communal soaking tub. A redwood sauna, a steam room and an overhead cold plunge sit alongside it. Men's and women's days run beside co-ed sessions, and a small restaurant serves dinner after the bath.
Good to know
- Hot tub on site: adds a warm-water option between the sauna and the cold plunge for a longer cycle.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Urban venue: it sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake. A session fits into a day in town.
- Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
- Women-only sauna: the venue has a women's side or room, or runs set women-only sessions.
- Nude sauna: some or all sessions are taken without swimwear.
- Swimwear sauna: some or all sessions are taken in swimwear, so pack it.
