About
Puffin Sauna Club runs a wood-fired sauna on Yellow Barn Farm, a regenerative farm in the foothills between Boulder and Lyons. Hour-long shared sessions alternate the sauna with Japanese-style cold plunges, an outdoor rain shower and a cold stream. Swimwear is required.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
- Swimwear sauna: some or all sessions are taken in swimwear, so pack it.
- Mobile operator: the sauna travels, so the location is part of the booking. Check the current site before you arrive.
