Saunarivm
Berlin, Germany

About
A Roman-styled sauna house beside the Rathaus-Center in Pankow, with a 90-degree Finnish sauna seating thirty and hourly Aufguss, a 60-degree tepidarium and a salt steam bath. Outside is a garden with a plunge pool; inside, a whirlpool, massages and a winter-garden restaurant. Walk in without booking; Tuesdays are women only.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Hot tub on site: adds a warm-water option between the sauna and the cold plunge for a longer cycle.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Urban venue: it sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake. A session fits into a day in town.
