Ty Sawna is a wood-fired Finnish sauna on Oxwich Bay, on the Gower Peninsula. Sessions can be booked or dropped into, with the bay itself as the cold side of the cycle. Heat, then a sea swim, and not much else in the way.
Good to know
- Set up outdoors — weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Set in nature, away from the city — bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Right on the sea — expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Wood-fired heat — softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
