Weiere Sauna

About

Weiere Sauna sits in the old bathhouse at the Drei Weihern, on the hillside above St. Gallen. Two sauna rooms at different temperatures share a rest room facing the woods, and the swimming pond does the cooling. Aufguss ceremonies use natural oils and plant infusions, and the sauna runs a winter season.

Good to know

• Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
• Bar on premises: drinks alongside (or after) the session, and the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
• Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
• A historic sauna with heritage worth the trip on its own, whether the building, the tradition, or both.
• Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
• Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
• Women-only sauna: the venue has a women's side or room, or runs set women-only sessions.
• Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
• Nude sauna: some or all sessions are taken without swimwear.
