Wiehen-Therme Hotel
Hüllhorst, Germany

About
A family-run hotel on the south slope of the Wiehengebirge whose sauna area is open to day visitors. A Finnish sauna, a Sanarium and an aroma-oil sauna sit beside a 28C indoor pool, with a plunge pool in the sauna garden outside. Massages come from the physiotherapy practice on the grounds.
Good to know
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
