About
Bastuflotten is a sauna raft moored in a bay on Öjevettern, south of Storfors Båtklubb's island. You reach it by your own boat and bring your own firewood for the stove. The roof is open to sit on and a slide drops straight into the lake.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
