About
A public sauna in Gothenburg's regenerated Frihamnen docks, designed by the Berlin collective Raumlabor with a façade of salvaged corrugated steel and shower walls built from twelve thousand recycled glass bottles. It holds up to twenty-five across men's, women's and mixed sections, looks out over the harbour, and — remarkably — is free to use. Book a slot online; floating fresh- and sea-water pools sit alongside for the cold dip.
Good to know
- Set up outdoors — weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Right on the sea — expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Urban venue — sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake, so you can fit a session into a day in town.
