About
The original 2019 Bathhouse and biggest of three NYC locations: eight thermal pools (three 104°F hot, two cold plunges, two neutral, and a rooftop pool at 84°F), one of the largest stadium-seating saunas in NYC, steam rooms, hammam, and a restaurant. Daily aufguss rituals, low-lit moody design, industrial Williamsburg aesthetic.
Good to know
- Cold plunge available on site — use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Hot tub on site — adds a warm-water option between the sauna and the cold plunge for a longer cycle.
- Pool on site — works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Rooftop element — at least part of the venue is outdoors at altitude, with views as part of the rest cycle.
- Restaurant on site — long sessions are the design; food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Bar on premises — drinks alongside (or after) the session; the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
- Runs aufguss sessions — a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Electric stove — quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
- Urban venue — sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake, so you can fit a session into a day in town.
