About
A 1906 Russian banya in Wicker Park anchored by the Red Square hot room — a granite-rock chamber where stones are heated overnight, then doused for the next day's steam. Adds a Finnish sauna, eucalyptus steam, plunge pool, full restaurant and bar, and platza treatments on site. One of the oldest continuously operating bathhouses in the city.
Good to know
- Cold plunge available on site — use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Pool on site — works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Restaurant on site — long sessions are the design; food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Bar on premises — drinks alongside (or after) the session; the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
- Urban venue — sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake, so you can fit a session into a day in town.
