About
Riverwalk Saunas is a winter sauna village at the Island Party Hut on the Chicago Riverwalk. Its shingled, wood-fired Iglucraft saunas stand a few steps from the river, under the downtown towers. Groups can also book a sauna privately for two hours.
Good to know
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- On a river: the cold side of the cycle comes from open running water rather than a tub.
- Urban venue: it sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake. A session fits into a day in town.
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
Hours
