About
A self-steered sauna raft on Berlin's Mueggelsee, hired by the group from the water-sports centre at Mueggelseedamm 70. The raft carries a wood-fired Harvia sauna, a changing room, a deck and a bathing ladder straight into the lake. Overnight stays are possible in summer.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Mobile operator: the sauna travels, so the location is part of the booking. Check the current site before you arrive.
