About
Foreningen Åpromenadens Sauna stands on the Gudenå promenade in Bjerringbro. A long window runs the length of the room, looking over the river and the meadows. The club's own gusmestre run saunagus, and non-members can book in on a guest ticket.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Electric stove: quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
- On a river: the cold side of the cycle comes from open running water rather than a tub.
- Swimwear sauna: some or all sessions are taken in swimwear, so pack it.
