About
A sauna-led wellness estate outside Hamm, in a 50,000 square metre park with old trees and its own lake. Seven saunas span a 90C salt sauna to a 60C bio-lounge and a lakeside cabin, with warm pools, four rest rooms and a restaurant. A small hotel of eight rooms sits alongside, but day tickets are sold to everyone.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Direct lake access: most visitors plunge straight into the water between sauna rounds.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Electric stove: quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
