About
Howling Moon is a wood-fired cedar sauna on wheels, parked at a basecamp on the rodeo grounds in Fraser, 8,500 feet up. Community sessions share the heat and an outdoor cool-down area. Small groups can also book the whole sauna.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Mobile operator: the sauna travels, so the location is part of the booking. Check the current site before you arrive.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Mountain setting: elevation changes and views are part of what you're paying for.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
- Swimwear sauna: some or all sessions are taken in swimwear, so pack it.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
