About

Kuuma is a wood-fired sauna on a boat that leaves Margate Marina, twenty minutes south of Hobart. Ninety-minute cruises on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel take up to eight people, who share the heat and step off into the cold water between rounds. Sunrise and golden-hour departures run alongside three-hour private charters.

Good to know

  • Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier lΓΆyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
  • Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
  • Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
  • Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
  • Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
  • Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
