About
Norrtälje Bastuflotte is a wood-fired sauna raft moored at Kärleksudden, close to the centre of Norrtälje. Six people fit on the benches, and the water is a step off the deck. It runs as a members' sauna, and non-members can book the whole raft.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
