About
Sauna am Lenneberg has been running in Mainz-Gonsenheim since 1955 and calls itself the city's oldest sauna. It is a small, homely place with Finnish sauna rooms, scheduled Aufguss, a massage practice and a bistro. Ladies-only sessions are part of the week.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
