Saunabad Molfsee
Molfsee, Germany

About
A family-run Saunabad at Molfsee outside Kiel, now in its second generation. A log-cabin sauna, a Finnish cabin and a Sanarium sit alongside a Caldarium, a steam bath, an infrared room and a 29C pool, with quiet rooms, a Kneipp walk, a lawn, a small gym and a bistro. Trained hosts run Aufguss through the afternoon.
Good to know
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Gym facilities on site: the sauna is part of a wider fitness or recovery offer rather than a standalone bathhouse.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
