Saunapark Bockhorn
Bark, Germany
About
A sauna park in the Schleswig-Holstein countryside between Hamburg, Lübeck and Kiel. The main house holds a Finnish sauna, a Dampfbad and a Sanarium beside a swimming pool and terrace. Three wood-fired Russian banjas stand in the grounds, booked by the room and served with birch-branch massage.
Good to know
- Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
