About
Therme Erding is a very large thermal resort outside Munich. Its VitalTherme & Saunen wing holds 38 saunas and steam rooms, sold on a separate ticket from the pools and slides. Sauna entry has a textilfrei surcharge, and an Aufguss programme is published on the site.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Bar on premises: drinks alongside (or after) the session, and the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
