Most UK lake saunas are actually on Scottish lochs. Loch Tay, Loch Lomond and the Cairngorm waters carry the bulk of them, generally in open country rather than a town.

The few English entries sit beside reservoirs in Yorkshire and the north east. Most are wood-fired and outdoors, with the water itself serving as the cold side of the cycle.
