Blekets Bastu is a wood-fired sauna by the harbour in Bleket, on the island of Tjörn. Blekets fritidsförening runs it, and members and non-members alike bathe at the public times. Ten people sit comfortably inside, and the whole sauna can also be booked privately.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
