About
A 1928 public bathhouse in Tallinn's Kalamaja district, designed by Aleksander Vladovski and still wood-heated almost a century on. Separate men's and women's sides keep the old bathhouse rhythm, with wood-stove and steam rooms and private rooms to rent, a short walk from the Old Town. One of the city's last working historic saunas β plain, hot, and authentically local.
Good to know
- Wood-fired heat β softer, heavier lΓΆyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
- A historic sauna with heritage worth the trip on its own β the building, the tradition, or both.
- Urban venue β sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake, so you can fit a session into a day in town.
- Cold plunge available on site β use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
