An open-air bathhouse on a pier reaching into the Öresund, in operation since 1898 and known locally as 'Ribban'. Several saunas, one of them wood-fired, feed a ritual of heat then a ladder straight down into the sea, with gender-separated open-air bathing and a long-running Aufguss tradition. Time it for sunset over the strait.

Good to know

• Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
• Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
• Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
• Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
• A historic sauna with heritage worth the trip on its own, whether the building, the tradition, or both.
• Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
• Women-only sauna: the venue has a women's side or room, or runs set women-only sessions.
• Mixed sauna: men and women share the room, in every session or on set days.
• Nude sauna: some or all sessions are taken without swimwear.
