Sibbarps Kallbadhus
Malmö, Sweden

About
Sibbarps kallbadhus sits on the Öresund shore at Limhamn, with ladders from its deck into the sea. Men's and women's sides each have their own saunas, which run on either wood or electricity. A café with a full licence serves the deck, and the saunas run an aufguss programme.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Bar on premises: drinks alongside (or after) the session, and the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Electric stove: quicker to bring up to temperature, easier to control, and what most urban bathhouses run.
- Right on the sea: expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Bookable as a private session: rent the room for your group rather than sharing with strangers.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Wood-fired heat: softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
