About
A waterfront culture complex by the Opera House built around a village of a dozen saunas, anchored by Árdna — a vast Sámi-inspired sauna that doubles as a venue for rituals, DJ sets and weekend gatherings. You move between the saunas and the cold pools over a two-and-a-half-hour session, with a bar and the Bjørvika harbour for company. It is sauna as social space rather than silent retreat — louder and more communal than most.
Good to know
- Set up outdoors — weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Right on the sea — expect saltwater dips between rounds, cold even in summer.
- Cold plunge available on site — use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Bar on premises — drinks alongside (or after) the session; the venue isn't dry like most outdoor sauna setups.
- Urban venue — sits inside the city rather than at a coast or lake, so you can fit a session into a day in town.
