About
A municipal thermal complex on the Lüneburg Heath, holding a brine bath, a swimming hall and a textile-free sauna landscape ticketed apart from them. The sauna side runs earth, Kelo, heath, salt-crystal and herb cabins with a steam room and scented Aufguss rounds. There is a salt grotto, whirlpool and a garden with plunge basin.
Good to know
- Runs aufguss sessions: a guided löyly ritual where an attendant fans the steam around the room on a schedule.
- Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
- Hot tub on site: adds a warm-water option between the sauna and the cold plunge for a longer cycle.
- Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
- Pool on site: works alongside the sauna for swim-and-sauna sessions or a longer cool-down between rounds.
- Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
- Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
