About

Hannover's oldest sauna, on the edge of the Stadtpark and the Eilenriede. The building went up for the 1933 garden show and was turned over to bathing later; two saunas, plunge pools, quiet rooms and a garden sit behind it, with massages and a small bistro. One day a week is women-only.

Good to know

  • Cold plunge available on site: use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
  • A historic sauna with heritage worth the trip on its own, whether the building, the tradition, or both.
  • Set in nature, away from the city, so bring a car or plan the transfer in advance.
  • Set up outdoors: weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
  • Restaurant on site, so long sessions are the design. Food is part of the visit rather than a stop on the way home.
  • Pairs the sauna with spa services like massage or a scrub, so a session can sit inside a wider visit.
