Wellgreen Outdoor Sauna

A wood-fired eight-person barrel sauna with four cold baths tucked behind The Sportsman Inn in Greetland, on the edge of Halifax. Sessions alternate the barrel heat with plunges at 7 and 11 degrees, with a firepit and changing rooms on site.

Good to know

• Cold plunge available on site — use it between rounds for the classic contrast cycle.
• Set up outdoors — weather is part of the experience, so dress for the walk between cabin and water.
• Wood-fired heat — softer, heavier löyly than electric, and the smell of the stove is part of the room.
