These are the full-day bathhouses, with pools, hot tubs and food alongside the heat. Brooklyn holds most of them, with more in Manhattan and Queens.
Aufguss runs on a schedule at most of them, so the day has a shape to it. Plan a long visit rather than a quick round.
In the NYC Metro, 8 of the curated saunas fit this cut. See the full the NYC Metro region guide for every venue, or keep scrolling for just the urban bathhouses.

Bathhouse — Atlantic Ave
$$Brooklyn, United States
The third Bathhouse location, on Atlantic Ave in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Same thermal-circuit format as the Williamsburg flagship: hot pools, cold plunges, sauna, steam rooms, hammam and daily aufguss, sized for a neighbourhood crowd. Industrial Brooklyn aesthetic carries through.

Bathhouse — Flatiron
$$New York, United States
The Manhattan sibling of Bathhouse Williamsburg, a smaller-format outpost on West 22nd Street in the Flatiron district. Same Bathhouse menu of hot pools, cold plunges, sauna, steam rooms, hammam and daily aufguss, scaled to a tighter footprint. Same moody industrial design language as the flagship.

Bathhouse — Williamsburg
$$Brooklyn, United States
The original 2019 Bathhouse, and the biggest of the three NYC locations. Eight thermal pools, one of the largest stadium-seating saunas in the city, steam rooms, a hammam and a restaurant. Daily aufguss rituals, low-lit design, industrial Williamsburg aesthetic.

Brooklyn Banya
$$$Brooklyn, United States
A Russian bathhouse on Coney Island Avenue in Kensington, open every day from late morning until eleven at night. Steam rooms, cold plunge pools and platza treatments with oak leaves, and walk-ins are taken without an appointment. Swimwear is required, and the whole place can be taken over for a group.

Brooklyn Bathhouse
$$$Brooklyn, United States
A bathhouse on Flatbush Avenue with three saunas, among them a Finnish dry room and a temperate wet room, plus a steam room and hot, neutral and cold plunge pools. A day pass buys four hours with towels, robe and sandals, and there is a cafe and bar on site. Massages and facials are booked separately.

New York Spa & Sauna
$$New York, United States
A Korean day spa in Flushing, open every day of the year from early morning to late. The bathing floor downstairs is gender-separated and nude, with hot tubs, a cold tub, a steam room and dry saunas. Upstairs is co-ed in the house uniform, with four more dry saunas, an ice room, heated floors and a Korean kitchen.

Spa Castle
$$$Queens, United States
Four-story, four-season Korean jjimjilbang in College Point with themed sauna chambers (Himalayan salt, gold, jade, halotherapy, color therapy, dry, plus steam) and an ice room. Indoor and outdoor heated hydrotherapy pools, jacuzzis, infrared lounge, restaurant and pool bar, and a Kids Castle that makes it explicitly family-oriented. Walk-in admission.

World Spa
$$$Brooklyn, United States
A 50,000 sq ft Brooklyn megabath that bills itself as the largest banya in the US. The setup spans Eastern European banyas, Finnish saunas, Moroccan and Turkish hammams, a Himalayan salt room, a snow room and an onsen circuit. You move between rituals, then collapse on a chaise by the fireplace lounge.
